This is one of a set of drawings of dead birds I have made in conjunction with my rug project Flight [Cage]. All birds were found by kind-hearted humans and photographed. The images were shared with me from across the world to be used in this art project that proposes art as a means to instigate empathy. The drawings were made while I was in cancer treatment and was unable to complete larger scaled art pieces. All proceeds will help fund my next exhibitions in Dawson City, Yukon and St Johns, Newfoundland.
